Cor’ Blimey Productions Set to Take Edinburgh Fringe by Storm with Acclaimed Play Maybe This Time
Known for its raw, authentic storytelling, Cor’ Blimey is set to captivate audiences at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025 with their hit play, Maybe This Time. The production will run from 18th to 23rd August at Fern Studio, Greenside Venues, located at 22-24 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2PQ.
Fresh from its acclaimed debut at the Dundee Fringe 2024, Maybe This Time is a heartfelt exploration of love in all its messy, beautiful forms. At its core, the play weaves together a collection of stories about love, anchored by the main narrative of two young lovers who meet in a karaoke bar in Dundee. Bonding over a shared love of music, their journey is traced through the songs they sing together, creating an ephemeral soundtrack to their burgeoning relationship.
But as their connection deepens, questions arise: How soon is too soon to say “I love you”? While one bares their soul, the other hesitates, holding back the intimate details of a troubled personal life. Can they meet in the middle, or will their differences pull them apart?
“Love is subjective,” says Ben Asensio, founder of Cor’ Blimey Productions and director of the play. “We wanted to create something that resonates with everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from. Maybe This Time isn’t about grand statements or pretentious art—it’s about real people, real emotions, and real connections. That’s what we do best.”
The Edinburgh Fringe run marks a significant milestone for Cor’ Blimey Productions, as they bring their signature “Theatre for the People” to one of the world’s largest and most prestigious arts festivals. Known for their working-class roots and rebellious spirit, the company is determined to make their mark on the Fringe with a production that’s as bold and authentic as their ethos.
